Report on safety of hydrogen and ammonia infrastructure

May, 2020, a guidance report on safety of hydrogen and ammonia infrastructure was delivered to the HyInfra project of the Ocean Hyway Cluster. The goal of the report is to improve the understanding of safety aspects handling these zero emission fuels. The report discusses motivation for zero emission, various types of facilities and operations, past accidents, experiments, properties of the fuels, hazards, and consequence modelling. An important part of the report is also to describe the current regulatory regime, risk assessment methodology, with selected modelling examples to illustrate hazards.
